Delete your Lapsa account

You can delete your Lapsa account and all of its data yourself, at any time, from the Android app or from the web. Deletion happens at once and cannot be undone.

From the Android app

  1. Open Lapsa and go to Account.
  2. Under Security, choose Delete account.
  3. Enter your password, then confirm.

The reminders already scheduled on that phone are cleared at the same moment.

From the web, without the app

  1. Sign in at lapsa.app/app with the same email and password.
  2. Go to Account, then Delete account.
  3. Enter your password, then confirm.

If the app is still installed on a phone, uninstall it or sign out of it to clear the reminders that phone had already scheduled. Forgotten your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page to get a reset code by email.

What is deleted

  • Your account: name, email address and password hash.
  • Every subscription you added, with its notes and settings.
  • Your payment history and price history.
  • Your notifications and reminder settings.
  • Your signed-in sessions and the push tokens of your devices.
  • Your calendar feed. Its link stops working.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing stays in the live database. Lapsa makes a backup every night so that a mistake can be undone, and those backups still contain your data until they are replaced. Each backup is kept for 14 days, so within 14 days of deleting your account no copy of it remains.

Before you delete

Want to keep a record? In Account, open Export and calendar to download your subscriptions and payments as spreadsheets, or your whole account as a JSON file. Once the account is deleted, there is nothing left to export.

Know before it renews.

Add your subscriptions once. Lapsa works out every renewal and every cancel-by date from there.
